Welcome to POSTAR3

POSTAR3 is a comprehensive database for exploring POST-trAnscriptional Regulation based on high-throughput sequencing data from 7 species, including human, mouse, zebrafish, fly, worm, Arabidopsis, and yeast. POSTAR3 is developed as the updated version of CLIPdb, POSTAR and POSTAR2, which provide the largest collection of binding sites of RNA-binding proteins and their functional annotations.

POSTAR3 Features

  • CLIPdb: Curated 2075 public CLIP-seq datasets from 7 species and 9 CLIP-seq technologies.
  • RBP Binding Sites: 311 RBPs with their motif, Gene Ontologies, binding site sequence motif, and structural preference.
  • RNA Crosstalk: Annotated RBP binding sites with post-transcriptional regulation information, including ~27 million miRNA-binding sites, ~1.1 million RNA modification sites, and ~8.1 million RNA editing sites.
  • Genomic Variants: Annotated RBP binding sites with variant information from dbSNP, 1000 genomes and gnomAD database.
  • Disease Mutations: Annotated human RBP binding sites with disease-associated variant information from GTEx, ClinVar, PanTCGA, PCAWG, CCLE, GWASdb, denovodb, and COSMIC database.
  • Structurome: Curated 82 public structure-seq datasets from 4 species and 6 structure-seq methods.
  • Translatome: Curated 300 public Ribo-seq datasets from 6 species and calculated by different algorightms.
  • Degradome: Curated 200 public degradome-seq datasets from 4 species using 4 different sequencing methods.
